Soch Foundation is starting a new project to spread awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in rural areas. HPV is a virus that can cause cervical cancer, and many people in rural communities don’t know about it and how to protect themselves from it.
Soch Foundation is hosting an HPV awareness camp that will provide information and resources to those in need.
Our camp will include workshops, health screenings, and discussions with healthcare providers. We want to empower people with the knowledge that they need to stay healthy and prevent HPV. We believe that everyone has a right to information and resources to stay healthy, and we are dedicated to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Soch Foundation's JAYSHRI Program
Soch Foundation’s Joint Action For Yearly Screening Of HPV In Rural India (JAYSHRI Program) – Eradicate Cervix Cancer, led by Dr. Saubhik Sengupta, is working to increase awareness on cervical cancer and promote early detection through screening.
Dr. Sengupta’s expertise in gynecological oncology and laboratory medicine has been instrumental in setting up the first molecular pathology laboratory in Eastern India, allowing for more accurate and timely diagnosis of gynecological cancers, including cervical cancer.
The JAYSHRI Program is focused on providing education and access to screening methods like the HPV DNA test and HPV vaccine. By raising awareness and providing these tools, women in rural areas will be able to detect and treat cervical cancer earlier, leading to better outcomes and overall health. Soch Foundation’s efforts, led by Dr. Sengupta, are assisting in the saving of lives and improving the health of women in India.
