Colours of Expression: Drawing Competition at Sunshine Autism Care Society

On November 25, 2025, we at Soch Foundation had the joy of spending a heartwarming day with the children of Sunshine Autism Care Society, hosting a drawing competition that celebrated creativity, confidence, and the power of self-expression. What began as a simple idea became an experience filled with colour, laughter, and moments that reminded us of the beauty of inclusion.

A Day of Colour, Creativity, and Confidence

To encourage the children to explore their imagination freely, we gifted each of them a new drawing stationery kit—bright colours, fresh sketchbooks, and tools chosen to spark excitement. Seeing the children open their kits with curiosity and pride set the tone for the day.

Once the drawing competition began, the room filled with focused silence, happy chatter, and strokes of imagination. Every child interpreted the world in their own unique way—some through shapes and colours, others through thoughtful scenes and expressive lines. There was no right or wrong, only pure creativity.

Fun and Games After the Art

After the competition, we organized interactive games tailored to the children’s comfort and abilities. The joy, movement, and laughter that followed were a beautiful reminder that play is also a powerful form of connection and growth.

The day flowed with ease, supported by teachers, volunteers, and caregivers who ensured every child felt included, supported, and celebrated.

Why This Day Mattered

Children with autism communicate and express themselves in diverse ways. Providing them with platforms like art and play helps build confidence, improves motor and sensory skills, and gives them space to shine on their own terms.
