On December 21, we witnessed something truly powerful—a community choosing compassion. From 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at South City Tower 1 Community Hall, we at Soch Foundation came together with our partners, Charnock Hospital, to hold a blood donation drive that was about much more than collecting blood. It was about saving young lives.
When Blood Is the Difference Between Fear and Hope
For children living with thalassemia and those undergoing cancer chemotherapy, blood transfusions are not occasional—they are essential. Behind every transfusion is a child fighting silently, and parents hoping that treatment is never delayed due to shortage. This drive was organized with these children in mind—children who depend on the kindness of strangers to survive.
What We Saw That Day
Throughout the day, dozens of donors walked in—some nervous, some confident, all determined to help. We saw people pause their busy lives, roll up their sleeves, and give a part of themselves so that a child they may never meet could live another day.
Our volunteers ensured donors felt safe and supported, while the medical team from Charnock Hospital handled every step with professionalism and care. The hall was filled with quiet courage and an unspoken understanding: this mattered.
The Impact We Created Together
Every unit of blood collected during the drive will directly support:
Pediatric thalassemia patients who require regular transfusions
Children undergoing chemotherapy, who need blood support to continue treatment
What took just a few minutes of a donor’s time will help sustain a child through weeks and months of care.
With Gratitude
We are deeply grateful to Charnock Hospital, our donors, volunteers, and the South City community for standing with us. Your empathy and action have already begun changing lives.
This Is Not Where It Ends
The need for blood never stops—and neither can we.
We urge you to donate blood regularly, volunteer your time, and stand with Soch Foundation to ensure that no child’s treatment is delayed due to lack of resources.
If you are looking for a real, immediate way to make a difference—this is it.
One decision. One donation. One life saved.
Together, let’s continue giving hope—drop by drop.
